An ornate cabinet sets on an attractive tabouret base. The audience can clearly see underneath. An assistant climbs the stairs and enters the cabinet. Its curtains are lowered. The magician notices a handkerchief that the assistant dropped as she entered the cabinet. He raises a portion of the curtain, disclosing the assistant as he hands the handkerchief to her. A gun is fired...Curtains on all sides of the cabinet fall away leaving only the skeleton framework of the cabinet. The assistant has completely vanished!
If desired, the assistant may make her reappearance from the front of the theatre.
Note that this illusion can be done surrounded and it breaks down for packing.
