PERFORMERS CLASSES
It's a go! This Monday, March 31, from 6:30 until 8 will be the organizational meeting for our Performer's Classes. Cost will be $100 for 6 classes, which pays for the cost of materials and Dave's time. Bring stage props and prepare to present a brief 3-5 minute routine.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US
Stop by the Wunderground this Tuesday, April 1st, and help us celebrate our 37th anniversary. We've heard from a number of people who were there at Romig's when it all began, including the very first kid customer ever in the shop. (Hint: He's still only a teenager.)
We'll be turning back the clock to prices reminiscent of 1971 with a special 37% off sale on select merchandise for one day only, so stop by and pick up a present.
GRAND OPENING
The Wunderground West will be having it's Grand Opening on May 3. There will be games and magic and popcorn and fun and lots of stuff that Tim hasn't told me about yet. (But just between you and me, he's really already open, so head down Middlebelt to Garden City and see if you can find out for yourself what he has in store. Don't leave until he tells you.)
NEW IN PUZZLES
Wunderground Magic is proud to be the distributor of Utterly Unique puzzles, handcrafted from Royal Oak puzzle maker Tom Utter. Utterly Unique sets itself apart from other companies in the way that each puzzle is hand-crafted. They are hand made, one-at-a-time, without the use of automated manufacturing processes. It's official - Mark Mason of JB Magic will be at Wunderground West on Thursday, May 8th to show off his new stuff. Reserve the date now.
MICHIGAN MAGIC DAY
April 19th at the Ypsilanti High School the Ann Arbor Magic Club will be presenting a day of magic, featuring Hank Moorehouse as MC, Magicians Martin Cox, Rick Fisher, Patrick Page, and Michael Woodward. There will be contests and shows and lectures and vendors (including the Wunderground) and more. Admission is $50 at the door or $12 for the evening show. AND FINALLY
As you remember from our last exciting episode, Guy Copeland had disappeared into the bright lights of Hollywood never to be heard from again. Well we tracked him down, and he needs your help - again.
He's made it past round one and is in the category called CALL BACKS. He's uploaded new videos and needs people (hint hint) to go to www.bigshotlive.com and vote for him so he can advance into the Top-5 in CALL BACKS. Then each Sunday night the producers/judges will select one of the five to come back to Hollywood for a bigger & better opportunity. There is 5 levels to this contest. The brass ring is a part on a sitcom, or in a movie, or being an opening act (for a length of time) for a big name act in a big venue... like a resort in Vegas or something. With your votes each week (and daily, if you have the time), maybe one day you'll be able to say "if it weren't for me Guy may have never become a star".
In return, he's giving away free admission to the All Star Comedy Club. Okay, actually it's their grand opening, but hey, it's still no admission fee, plus free pizza give aways! You can't beat that.
