News from the World of Magic>
How did he do that?
February 29, 2008
Hey, it's Paul from Wunderground Magic with your late breaking magic news, and no, it's not just another clatter box.
BUT FIRST A WORD FROM TIM
Hey it's Tim Miller and finally he is back!!!! The mystery has been solved of the invisible magic shop worker (although I don't know how you could miss me, but I'm flattered by the compliment.) With that being said all are welcome to the new WUNDERGROUND MAGIC WEST. Located at 6262 Middlebelt Rd, Garden City, MI in the old Magic Shop building. Drop on by and see all of the new changes that have taken place, and start stocking up on those old tricks that you've worn out for the past year waiting for another shop to open. Just a few new things to make note of: 1) The phone number has changed to (734) 422-2322, 2) The email address has changed as well, Wundergroundwest@att.net, 3) And finally the hours have changed. Closed Sunday and Monday, and open Tuesday- Saturday 11-7pm (Tue - Fri the shop will close from 3-4) Also I will be available for special appointments during closed hours, so come talk to me. Classes and lectures will be starting soon. So come on by, hang out, grab a deck of cards and show off in our new performance area. Hope to see everyone real soon, Best wishes - Tim Miller PS. Make sure everybody gives some warm appreciation to Paul at the Original Wunderground Magic Shop for making all of this possible.
AND NEXT A WORD FROM JIM, THE BALLOON MAN
For the March workshop, we're presenting beginning Balloon Sculpture – for those with little or no experience in twisting balloons. Add a new feature to your magic show to offer your clients. This class will introduce the basics of twisting the long balloon into recognizable one-balloon animals, i.e. poodle dogs, giraffes, rabbits, swans, dachshunds, etc. Bring your own balloons or balloons will be supplied for the class and available to purchase to take home for further practice. This will be a hands-on class. If time permits, basic balloon hats will also be introduced. Class will be taught by Jim Tait, AKA Professor Bloono, who has been twisting balloons in the Detroit area for over forty years.
AND NOW A WORD FROM DAVE (ACTUALLY PAUL PRETENDING THAT HE'S DAVE)
Hi, this is Dave Foydel. I'm back and will be making my regular appearance teaching the kids' class this Saturday at 10AM. This week I'll be performing and teaching coin magic, so you can learn legerdemain with loose loot. Of course Paul will be there too. You'll recognize him as the one holding out the tin cup asking for spare change.
LISTEN WHILE I PLAY MY BLACK TABOURET
If you've been meaning to grab the Harbin chair suspension or the tabouret illusion, but just never got around to picking them up, I have great news...they're still here! And if that's not enough, we have all new effects by magical inventors Dave Devin and Michael Mode. Check out Casino Night, Insectaphobia, or the Appearing Bowling Pin. You might think that there's always something new at the Wunderground, and you'd be right.
