DISPLAY CASES One of the coolest parts of visiting a magic shop is being able to see the effects performed before you buy them, without restricted camera angles or special effects. Who knows how many such performances have taken place over our display cases, but now you have an opportunity to own them as a part of magic history.
I’m retiring some of the display cases that go all the way back to Romig’s original store, and bringing in new cases with more area to show off all the cool effects that had previously been hidden away in our secret storage areas.
The cases come in two sizes – four feet and six feet long for $100 and $150 respectively.
KIDS CLASSES Magic classes for children are going strong, and this week we’ll be learning tricks with ropes. Sign up now for six classes for $75
ADULT WORKSHOPS Remember to set aside the first Tuesday of every month to attend our adult magic workshops. They are from 6:30 to 8 at the shop and only cost $20 a session.
NEW MAGIC We have a lot of great material for your Halloween shows ranging from needle through arm to guillotines in various shapes and sizes, or grab a copy of “Spirit Theater” or “The Book of Haunted Magic” and prepare to scare.
To celebrate the anniversary of the death of Houdini, we have a sub trunk and a strait jacket and enough handcuffs to keep you in shackles for a week.
The DVD shelf is overflowing, so there’s a new DVD rack coming in to hold even more of the titles you’ve been asking for. We have Richard Osterlind, Paul Harris, Michael Ammar, Jay Sankey, and hidden behind the counter (so you have to ask for it) is the Derren Brown lecture.
If you’re looking for a suspension to add to your act, I have a chair suspension in mint condition for less than half the suggested retail price. It’s used but obviously not very often.
