Wunderground for Memorial Day

May 22, 2009

Hello, this is Paul from Wunderground Magic with the latest in rumor, innuendo, and idle gossip about the magic scene. Remember our motto: “If it were true we wouldn’t print it.”

Wunderground Magic will be closed for Memorial Day, Monday May 25, but will reopen on Tuesday with more magic to amaze you.

KIDS CLASSES

Magic classes for children ages 7 to 13 are held every Saturday morning at 10AM in Abu-Kadabra, our secret dungeon. Your satisfaction is guaranteed or double your children back.

ADULT WORKSHOP

Magic workshops for adults, ages 14 and older, are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM here at the store.

Our next workshop is June 2, and the theme is Impromptu Magic. Learn to be magical any time, any place, seemingly without any preparation.

MAGIC CLASSES FOR SPECIAL GROUPS

Abu-Kadabra, our secret dungeon, can be booked for special groups. (And let’s face it, why would any normal group ever want to book Abu-Kadabra.) Call the store for details.

MIKE FERRARI RETURNS TO THE WUNDERGROUND

That’s right, your favorite magic demonstrator, Mike Ferrari, has returned from college where he won Greek God, second prize in an open mic contest, and second place in Temple’s Got Talent. He’ll only be around through the first week of June, so take the opportunity to meet him before he disappears once again.

WEB SITE FEATURE ADDED

We’ve added a new message board feature to the Wunderground website. Use it to comment on your favorite effects, discuss magicians, or share advice. Just don’t be offensive and don’t expose.

THE RETURN OF THE RETURN OF TOPS

TOPS Magazine of Magic is returning to publication as The Newest TOPS with the June issue. This will be an online publication available at http://www.topsmag.com The first issue will be available June 9 but come in now for a sneak peek. There will be big names working for this magazine including Jeff Hobson, David Seebach, Gay Blackstone, and our good friend John Sturk. Dare I mention that the same goofball who writes this newsletter will be the assistant editor? But don’t let that stop you from enjoying it anyway.
