Help Wanted Issue

August 27, 2010

Magic is in the air, and we're trying our best to keep you informed, but since our editorial staff consists of a random number of monkeys fighting over a single keyboard (Actually it's more like a single key. They all want to press the "J".) we tend to have a more unusual perspective than your typical newspaper.

Hi, I'm Paul from Wunderground Magic, Inc. with breaking news on a tight deadline. Today's hot story just off the magic newswire:

Local magician Chris Clark {stop}
Needs votes for amazing trick. {stop}
Today only {stop}
Regis & Kelly website {stop}
Wild & Wacky contest {stop}
Chris Clark's Harmonica Bagpipes trick.{stop}
Vote! {stop}

I'm not sure what it means either, but the words seemed to be cut out of a magazine and included a ransom demand for $1.47 I suggest you vote because a "harmonica bagpipe" player just may be the only thing saving metro Detroit from total economic collapse.

Performers Wanted for Wunderground's World of Wunders

We're shooting two pilot episodes for a local television series. Of course, the concept isn't fully formed, but then again when has that ever stopped us? I'm thinking of doing something related to (wait for it) ... magic but we could expand it to be a variety show featuring talented artists we've dug up from our dungeons.

The reason you're reading this (assuming you're still reading and haven't skipped to the end where I give away free candy) is that we're looking for guest performers to be featured on the show. If you're interested send me a note. Not only can you get in on the ground floor of concept creation - you'll be able to start even lower than that.

Street Performers Wanted for Clawson Block Party

Clawson Michigan is throwing it’s 3rd annual block party on Saturday September 11, 2010 on Main Street north of 14 mile road from 4pm until 8 pm. This event is a great opportunity for families to come downtown and have fun. There will be live music, climbing structures, games, food, beverages and more for families to enjoy.

We would love for you to be an entertainer at this event - performing magic, twisting balloons, painting faces, juggling, or otherwise showing off your talents for an adoring crowd. This is a great opportunity to get exposure and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. (It's also a great opportunity to audition for the television segment mentioned above.)

If you are interested in performing, reply to this email, and I'll give you more details.

If you just want to come out to Clawson and have a good time, show up the evening of September 11 and see what we have to offer.
